I have never surfed before. Is it safe for absolute beginners?
Absolutely! The majority of our students are first-timers, and your safety is our number one priority. We typically hold beginner lessons at Selong Belanak Beach, which is famous for its gentle, rolling waves and soft sandy bottom—the perfect natural classroom. Kasjarod is an expert in creating a supportive, patient environment, ensuring you learn at your own pace and feel confident in the water.
What do I need to bring for my surf lesson?
We've got most of it covered! All you need to bring is your swimsuit, a towel, and reef-safe sunscreen. We recommend wearing a rash guard for sun protection and comfort, but if you don't have one, we can provide one for you. We'll take care of the surfboard and the leash.
What is included in a surf lesson?
Every surf lesson includes everything you need: A surfboard suited to your level, a clean rash guard/surf shirt, and a 2-hour guided session in the water with expert instruction. We focus on providing transparent value and quality instruction.
Where will the surf lesson take place?
This is where our local knowledge shines. We don't have one fixed spot; we take you to the best spot for your skill level and the day's conditions (tide, swell, and wind). For beginners, this is almost always the beautiful Selong Belanak Beach. For more experienced surfers, we will choose from a variety of waves like Mawi or others in the area to ensure you get the best and safest session possible.
